About this event

Get your tickets for Cap Times Idea Fest, which returns to the UW-Madison campus for a third year. Some two dozen individual sessions about politics, equity, business, culture and more will explore the central theme of how to “Reach a Better State.” Attendees will get to hear and interact with dozens of experts, insightful people and big names including Chloe Benjamin, Blair Braverman, Ana Marie Cox, Joaquin Castro, Kathy Cramer, Judy Faulkner, Eric Holder, Rebecca Kleefisch, Scott Klug, Farhad Manjoo and David Maraniss.

Fun events like a trivia contest, an improv comedy session and a reception will round out a fascinating, fast-paced experience at UW's Memorial Union, Pyle Center and Music Hall.

To enter Idea Fest sessions, take the confirmation email from Campus Arts Ticketing to a registration center to receive a lanyard, which must be worn for access to all festival sessions. Registration centers will be located at the Wisconsin Union Theater box office (800 Langdon St.), the Pyle Center (702 Langdon St.) and Music Hall (925 Bascom Mall).

With the exception of VIP tickets, which provide guaranteed seating for Shannon Hall events, all other tickets provide general seating on a first-come, first-served basis. All-weekend passes also include (while supplies last) an Idea Fest T-shirt, which can be picked up at the event or at Cap Times offices at 1901 Fish Hatchery Road.
