About this event

This concert is part of the Wisconsin Union Theater's Classical Series.

Since winning the BBC Young Musician competition in 2016 and then performing as part of the 2018 royal wedding, Sheku Kanneh-Mason’s star shines bright. While he has attained a level of celebrity rare for any classical performer, Kanneh-Mason continues to move audiences and impress critics with his impeccable artistry, displaying by turns a “rich, focused tone and elegant phrasing” or “grim beauty” (The New York Times) depending on what the work calls for. In a recital featuring UK composers old and new—including Britten, Gwilym Simcock, and Edmund Finnis—paired up with cello favorites from Bach and Cassado, his compelling versatility will be on full display.

Before finalizing your order, you will have an opportunity to request a certain area, specific seats, ADA seating needs, etc. Please note: There is no elevator access to the balcony in historic Shannon Hall.
