Cap Times Idea Fest

September 28 - 29 |
Memorial Union, Pyle Center,
Wisconsin Historical Society

About this event

While they're still available, get your weekend passes for the Cap Times Idea Fest, which returns to the UW-Madison campus for a second year. Some two dozen individual sessions about politics, equity, the economy, the environment, culture and more will explore the central theme of how to “Reach a Better State.” Attendees will get to hear and interact with dozens of experts, insightful people and big names including David Axelrod, Kevin Conroy, Jim Doyle, Michael Johnson, David Maraniss, Tia Nelson and Karen Olivo.

Fun events like a trivia contest, a hip-hop soul DJ dance party and a reception will round out a fascinating, fast-paced experience at UW's Memorial Union, Pyle Center and the Wisconsin Historical Society.

To enter Idea Fest sessions, take the confirmation email from Campus Arts Ticketing to a registration center to receive a lanyard, which must be worn for access to all festival sessions. Registration centers will be located at the Wisconsin Union Theater box office (800 Langdon St.), the Pyle Center (702 Langdon St.) and the Historical Society (816 State St.).

This all-weekend pass guarantees admission to any session and includes an Idea Fest T-shirt, which can be picked up at the event or at Cap Times offices at 1901 Fish Hatchery Road using your lanyard or ticket email confirmation.
