Bang on a Can All-Stars: 90/90

For nearly 40 years, Bang on a Can has been the leading American new music ensemble, freely mixing avant-garde minimalism with pop, rock, and heavy-metal influences, among others. In this concert called 90/90, the group celebrates the 90th birthdays of two of its heroes: game changers Philip Glass and Steve Reich. Come hear music that inspired a movement in Reich’s Electric Counterpoint, written for an ensemble of 12 electric guitars and two electric basses, along with Glass’s Glassworks, written with cassettes, home listening, and the Walkman generation in mind.
